The women's space is not well kept. Its not in the mosque, theres a screen for the women to watch the imam...the screen is broken. Everything was directed at and only for the Brothers...not a mention of sisters. I was really disappointed, it was as if my faith wasnt valid or recognized. Its a far cry from the Mosques Im used to.
I went to this Masjid at a child years ago! It was nice to go back. It's a very nice Masjid!
It’s a big Islamic Cultural Center at near 72nd Street Subway Station in New York.
This is one of the worst masaajid I have ever been too. The congregants that pray here will harass you, yell at you and get violent. Do not pray here. If you value your life, go someplace else.
Prayed my first jummah here after moving to the city. I always worry about going to new mosques since some of them have imams that are not really qualified (i.e faulty tajweed, lack of proper knowledge), however, the imam here was fabulous in all regards (may Allah bless him).
His sermon was eloquent, his prayer was slow and thoughtful, and his recitation was precise and intentional. These contributed to one of the best first mosque experiences I’ve ever had.
I will be attending this mosque for all of my obligatory prayers, as well as the congregational prayers during my time here!
Alhamdulillah. No excuse for your prayer.
Say excuse you to your work for your prayers.
Allahu Akbar. May Allah bless you and all of us. Thank you for your service brothers
Nice and Clean Masjid.
Every Monday and Thursday they served Iftar.
Sisters are in the basement and have very small area. TV is broken and there is an unpleasant smell inside. The womens area is open to the bathroom and it feels like salah area is extension of the bathroom. Feels dark and gloomy. Entrance is to the side down some questionable stairs. Speaker quality is very bad and way too loud in the womens area. Speaker is so loud it makes the walls shake. Men get the rest of the building, 4 or 5 floors.
I love this mosque n the Pple working for the mosque. Keep it up Allah bless u all
